Police Recording Law - The Final Vote

The Public Servants in Arizona are trying to stop we the people from recording police.

Back in July the Arizona government decided to "pass a law" making it illegal to record police.

According to the Arizona Constitution the people have the final vote. Within 90 days after the governor signs a bill, the people can sign a petition against it to prevent it from being considered a law in Arizona.

We the people have the final say! Let your voice be heard!

Silence is a form of Consent.

We need people who are willing to step up NOW to volunteer in gathering organizations and people in Arizona to gather signatures against this unconstitutional bill being passed off as law in Arizona.

We have only ONE MONTH to get this done, but I believe we can do it!

We need to get every freedom minded organization, patriot groups, and every liberty minded american to get involved in gathering signatures.

Please let me know ASAP if you have experience gathering signatures in Arizona we really need your experience.

A great example on why we need to be organized! If we were it would be easy to collect the needed signatures. There will soon be a website through which we can "team up" to restore out Republic.

The bill does not make it illegal to record the police.

Yes it does. We already have police interference laws...this law makes it illegal to record police. All a cop has to do is walk within 8ft and then your in trouble....don't pretend this isn't making recording police illegal.

No, the bill specifies "police activity" if a police officer leaves the police activity to address a person recording the law does not apply, as long as the recording of the activity is taking place from a distance of 8ft or more.
Currently in Arizona the police try to push those recording much farther than the 10ft established by federal courts
This bill will put them on notice that they can no longer do so.

It infringes on our right, it may not make them illegal but it gives an excuse for a police officer who does not want to be recorded to arrest you and destroy your video footage. There should never be any law that could in any way infringe upon your right to record in public or to record public officials. To say that this does not infringe upon your right to record would be like saying that having the requirement that some states do to have a concealed weapon license in order to exercise your second amendment is not an infringement. There should never be anything restricting you from recording. If a police officer does not want to be recorded it is because they have foul intent.

What is the definition of police activity? Everything a police officer does is police activity and they will excuse it that way every time they violate the same laws they claim to uphold and they are protected by sovereign immunity. I have first hand watched police officers violate people's constitutional rights under color of law, you do not need to give them further ammunition so that corrupt officers can destroy all evidence of their wrongdoing. We already have police officers for turn off their badge cameras and the law permits them to do so, we should be able to record them under all circumstances.

A few of us are working on learning the process as the established system does not seem to have any process in place for the people VETO powers involving petitions to abolish a bill that the community is opposed to. I wonder if people can create a group on social media platforms to gather people who want to be contacted when we get a petition going. I have more news to share tonight and am excited to share it. A Federal Lawsuit has put a stop to a new "law" HB2319 from taking effect in Arizona on Sept. 24th 2022. The judge in the federal court case approved an injunction on the basis of constitutional question.

We need to make sure this is completely and totally deemed unconstitutional. Public Servant accountability should not be criminalized in any way whatsoever. There are plenty of "laws" already on the books that already protect law enforcement and allow for prosecution of individuals that would interfere with lawful police activity.
