The Valley County Sheriff’s Office, Search and Rescue, along with multiple other agencies are currently searching for 9 year old Alena Leigh Despain in the area of Blue Lake off Snowbank Road west of Cascade. Alena was hiking and got separated from her family. She was last seen wearing a white t shirt with a unicorn on it, jean shorts and brown hiking boots. If you have any information or are in or have been near Blue Lake today, July 18th, 2021, please call our dispatch center at 208-382-5160.
Area assistant reached out to Sheriffs office to offer help with searching, and was declined at this time.
