As many of you already know, Mayor Jon Pike resigned from his post as Mayor of St. George and is moving on as Insurance Commissioner for the State of Utah. His plan was to run for re-election yet he was rewarded by newly elected governor Spencer Cox with this position. At this point I cannot help but think that our gathering may have a role in his decision and motivation to get out of dodge.
