This certainly makes sense to me because I was buying 'organic' layer pellets from a feed store here then, because I'd never heard of the supplier before & wasn't sure of their credibility, changed to the USDA certified organic brand at TSC. Before that, my birds were mating ALL THE TIME, laying all the time - even through winter without any supplemental lights. After I changed, my birds STOPPED mating & STOPPED laying except for a few weeks in the first part of the year. For 46 weeks out of the year - NOTHING. I've been to the hatchery I use - Metzer - one of the best & have used them for years. I've consulted the state county extension office here, asked various poultry sites on line, & many others. No one has an answer. My birds free range, drink fresh deep well water, we eat organic home grown food & share with the flock, have a totally secure run (even the top is covered with chicken wire to protect from predators, plenty of shade and shunshine, custom made coops. These birds used to lay like clockwork - even frequently laying double yolk eggs & a very hardy breed & prolific breed - no diseases. One professor at UAB (Alabama) suggested - maybe - chemtrails. Being in amateur radio, I've even asked the question during a net meeting. No one has ever heard of such but I know I'm not imagining 10+ months of no eggs & no mating.
I DID, at first, suspect the feed but it was labeled USDA Certified & pushed the thought to the back of my mind. Knowing how OUR USDA organic food is no longer 'organic', it's beginning to make sense but I'm still leaving this issue open & praying for the best & changing to making my own feed. I'd purchased some new babies a few months ago & began making my own chick starter. Question is: How long before this carries over to the grains, seeds & such we get from the feed mills? Thank God for being able to free range & grow a lot of what we need but there are those of us who aren't able to. I guess that's where, we as People's Rights members, can step up to the plate, expand our horizons & establish our OWN TRUSTED sources for our community.

We all have different valuable skills and knowledge (no matter how minor). Things have no meaning unless they're shared. We have valued totally disabled members in the amateur radio community as well as People's Rights that are invaluable in times of need or, especially, an emergency.
